Types of pneumatic conveying system
- Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying System
- Lean / Dilute phase pneumatic conveying system
Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying System
It is a conveying process that transfers the material with high pressure at low Velocity and high product air ratio.
It is suitable for conveying of materials that are friable, fragile, abrasive or Agglomerated in nature.
Dense phase conveying system conveys bulk solids for long distances from Single I multiple locations to single I multiple points preventing low material degradation. It transports abrasive materials with comparatively less wear and tear of the system and product as well compared to mechanical conventional conveying.long distance transportation is an added advantage in dense phase conveying.
It can be customized to suit the site conditions with the need of process and Industrial applications. It has very less maintenance, no material spillages, No dust Emission, clean environment, no noise pollution, low air flow rate.
Lean / Dilute phase pneumatic conveying system
Lean phase pneumatic conveying system is a suitable process for conveying of non friable, non abrasive materials suspended in air with low material to air ratio. It is a essentially process that transfers material with low pressure at high velocity.
It is also referred as suspension flow, most of the materials are conveyed irrespective of the particle size, shape or density.
Powders with low bulk density that are fine in nature with less retention capability are conveyed in suspension flow in a dilute mode where in material to air ratio is low.
Types of lean phase I dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems are as under.
- Positive pressure type
- Vacuum / Suction / Negative pressure type
Features
- Suitable for wide range of material transfers for short distances.
- Variety of particle size (0-4 mm), shape or bulk density can be conveyed.
- Distribution of multiple areas in a plant and pick up from several points.
- Closed loop system, Dust free operation, less spillage resulting in good yield recovery.
